Hello,
I am hatching eggs and this isn't my first time, however, I have 3 live eggs (I candled them) in my incubator. They were refrigerated for 13 days, but when I candled them I had 3 duds and 3 living eggs. I threw away the duds and continued incubating the living eggs, candled them and they...
So I have 4 duck eggs! They have all internally pipped! After 12 hours of no external pips I made little air holes..I thought I saw the one getting shrink wrapped and so I tryed to help remove shell in the air sac area and now I’m just freaking out..
please help! The shell detached from the membrane this morning and flaked right off when I picked up the egg. I put a little hole where there were no veins in the membrane and it was obvious the duck was trying to break through. It day 31, so that’s why I initially intervened.
Attached is what...
Please help! I have 4 duck eggs. One of them externally pipped and took 48 hours to start making progress. Shortly after this, the duck died, so I think I should have intervened earlier.
Right now, only one of the three has externally pipped. He pipped about 18 hours ago, but hasn’t made...
Please help!! I was already worried enough because this is day 31st of my ducklings hatching process which is pretty late. Then, when I looked at one of the eggs today I noticed it’s bill looked stuck. Please look at the pics and video and let me know if you think this is normal or not. I’m...
Just when it feels like it may never happen, I woke up this morning to see that there were 6 (7 at last check) externally-pipped eggs in the hatcher. Of course, I know they could take up to 2 more days to hatch...:th
It's technically day 29, and based on the size of some of the pips, I'm...
Hi,
I’m on day 20 today and I’ve woken up to find an external pip. I haven’t seen any movement in the egg and heard no sounds (I’ve played chick sounds and gently tapped on the incubator glass). Humidity has gone down to around 61% during the night so not sure when I should up it.
Is this...
It’s day 22, my eggs are a bit delayed because of temperature fluctuations, but this morning (UK 9 am) I had two eggs cheeping, one has externally pipped, but the other one has gone quiet, with no external pip or movement, (5:30 pm). Should I intervene? I really need replies on this ASAP
Hi guys,
This is my first time incubating eggs instead of letting my broodies take care of everything.
I have a little Janoel incubator with 8/12 eggs looking like they’re growing well. I was candling them at 5pm yesterday (day 18) to remove the ones with no growth and to lockdown...
Five chicks hatched on day 20, which was 48 hours ago now. I have one egg left. I candled it and can see movement, and I’m guessing there’s some of the chick in the air sac because it’s not a clean line anymore. I can’t make out what part it is tho- it’s not like a clear beak. No external pip...
I have 6 chicken eggs incubating at the moment. It’s day 20, and my one egg has externally pipped at 7 A.M. and it’s now 11:17 am and it hasn’t hatched. How long after an external pip can it take for them to hatch? He was chirping a lot earlier and now chirps here and there. I also noticed...
