    Growth on intestines??

    Hello all, I just had to Butcher my first chicken today and when I was pulling out the guts, I saw all these weird growths attached on the outside of the intestines. Is this normal? And should I be worried about it? TIA!!

    Mass of meat from the chicken

    has anyone here recorded the mass of a chicken pre-slaughter and then its mass after processing it(removing its guts and feathers etc). If anyone here has I would really like to know those records. I'm curious to see how much of the bird is actually the processed meat we get in the end.
