Do ganders squat as submission?
I have two Pilgrim ganders, or so I thought! When I approach either of them they will squat and spread wings in the mating position and even flex their vents just as my hens (ducks) do. I don't know if this is common in ganders too? Or perhaps my pure Pilgrims aren't actually pure...- MamaGoinQuackers

Hen mating other hen???
Like in any pecking order, there are ones lower than others. I’ve seen my 1 year old (laying) ISA Brown mating the hens that she bullies. And I mean mating, not getting on top.
