    Do ganders squat as submission?

    I have two Pilgrim ganders, or so I thought! When I approach either of them they will squat and spread wings in the mating position and even flex their vents just as my hens (ducks) do. I don't know if this is common in ganders too? Or perhaps my pure Pilgrims aren't actually pure...
