My chickens have tapeworm and I am trying to find a dewormer that will help with this. It doesn't have to focus on tapeworms, as long as it can get rid of them.
What dewormers should I use? I would prefer one that could go in water.
Hello!!! Our pigeons have a one week old baby and he had been doing great, but yesterday he seemed to be breathing kind of hard but we thought it might be because it was hot out…today, he’s breathing more heavily and it makes a clicking sound, so we were suspecting some sort of respiratory...
Hello! My hens(2 OEGBs) are healthy and don't show any signs of illness. However, I've just learned that I should be deworming them regularly for prevention of infestation. They are nearly a year old and have never had any treatments whatsoever. I've started my research but I'm pretty confused...
Hi everyone! The heavy rain in California did a number on two of my hens. The vet gave me antibiotics in pill form and anti-inflammatory liquid. One of my hens is pretty easy going and took both meds well. I just syringe feed it to her slowly on the side of her beak. She’s doing great now. The...
Hopefully this is the right place to plop this information!
I've noticed a lot of fellow chicken tenders on here having trouble with obtaining medications like antibiotics, Corid, permethrine, etc. to treat their chickens (especially those rural folks who, like me, don't have access to an...

So I was getting to deworm my horses and the thought popped into my mind if I should be deworming or giving any other preventative medicine to my chickens? I don't believe anyone has any issues or worm or anything from what I can tell, but are there any preventative medicines I should be giving...
I have a chicken with sour crop and searched all over the internet for Nystatin for birds. I finally found a site that actually has some in stock so I figured I would share it with everyone. The site is Jedds bird supply and here is the link. https://www.jedds.com/ You can buy it in a powder...
Found some anti itch spray at local pet store, want to know if y'all think it will be safe for chickens and other poultry? Need anti itch solution fast!
I have a hen that is turning five this year and she seems to be having trouble with her arthritis, especially now that the snowy weather has arrived. Can anyone recommend any medicines/herbs or treatments for her ? I’d be most grateful.
Is the dose on the bottle correct orrrr ??? I don’t want to accidentally overdose my birds but don’t want to underdose either. I’ve seen varying things. Also if it is correct, it would be 0.3 on the syringe right? For 6-7 lb hen? Don’t worry, I will measure them to get an exact weight beforehand...
Can anyone help me figure out the best course of meds for my flock? I’m stumped. My beautiful EE rooster (1yo) suddenly passed last night- I noticed his comb was very dark purple so I brought him inside thinking he had possibly gotten frostbite (it has been in the teens/twenties a few nights...
This is a new thread for a thread I posted with questions a few days ago. Im hoping more people see this with advice.

I noticed yesterday she was acting odd. Still eating, drinking a bit more than usual. Today I looked at her bum, because she's been acting broody and is also molting, and seen her butt/vent looked as it did. I sprayed some Medicine on her bum and vent area. She's just chilling in her spot right...
Ok so since my neighbors chickens have ventured over and mingled with my flock before I noticed we’ve had a slew of issues pop up!
a Few hens started sneezing and then several others did as well as well as random ones getting runny noses. Rooster sounds like he’s got wheezy/rattly breathing as...
I've been reading posts about using Tylan 200 instead of 50 and I'm wondering what a dose would be for both a regular chicken and a bantam one. I've seen many doses and I'd like to just get answers here on this post. I want to give it to them orally, no shots. I don't have the option for Tylan...
