Chicken confusion land...
Well.... I just learned that the bins I got my hampbars and Rhode Island reds from were mixed up (the store must have flip flopped the labels... and I also ended up with a crevecoeur out of the polish bin... so now... do I have 2 barred rocks? These two are 9-10 weeks...

Hello there chicken experts! I have three 5 week old chickens I’m unsure about and would love to hear your thoughts…
Chickens #2 and #3 are supposed to be Cuckoo Marans (pullets)… or so they were labeled. I’m beginning to think they’re actually Dominiques. Their combs and leg color aren’t...
I'm worried this one is a Cockerel. The only reason that's a problem is I live in the city. I live at the edge by a a very large park, but I can't have roosters. It looks like they may have sickle feathers. They are about 4 and 1/2 weeks old. Anyone have any thoughts?

I know people probably post a ton of these, but you folks seem like the experts so here I am. I have a barred rock chick, now about 4 weeks old. I believe him to be a rooster, but am unsure. They are larger than my other 2 chicks of the same age by quite alot, and they stand tall with a large...
This is my flock of hens and one rooster that I had incubated about 4 years ago. Today my hens are very good layers and I have recently started a new flock. It was a struggle to keep their health in good condition but after many years they're doing quite well. Australorps, Blue Easter Egger hen...
This beauty is 11 weeks old. She is much larger than the other chickens (different breeds though) and has been since a baby. No crowing, and very gentle. I really hope she's a girl, what do you think?
