I have some exciting news to share! So get cozy and read my adventure!
So it all started when I was deep in the trenches of the Internet, when I came across this add for really fluffy chickens. I knew that I wanted to have some of these adorable fluff balls! So I ended up buying five silkies...
Hi, I'm Crystal. This is my first post on the Backyard Chickens board, but I've been lurking for about a year. I cannot tell you guys how much you have taught me. We got our first little gals in September and I have raised them with the knowledge and help this forum has provided.
I just wanted...
I never thought I would want to do this, but there is a local serama show in my neck of the woods this summer and I really want to meet other serama people and make some connections..so I'm thinking about entering.
Most of my breeding flock are from other breeders, so I don't want to show them...
I’m kind of rusty on determining what these are since I’ve seen such extreme Malaysians lol.
The females don’t have this chest though, so those looks like the Americans I have. Maybe they’re a mix? I’ve seen Malaysian females genetically inclined for the puffed posture.
I guess it could be...
Hey all,
I've been struggling with searching this site on my phone so I thought I'd just post.
I'm on a search for breeders who ship eggs (or are located in new York State) for these three different breeds:
Buff Silkie
Mille Fleur D'uccle
Serama (any color for these little ones!)
Although...
A client of my mother's who I know called me recently with a sort of business idea. I have an incubator and she has Serama's and eggs, so why not raise and sell some?
Now I have 1 egg in the incubator and 3 hens died, leaving her with a just rooster. We're trying to buy some more eggs to hatch...
Does anyone know what color my seramas are? I've been trying to learn about their colors but can't seem to find anything. I have 2 roosters and 3 hens and 1 chick I hatched out. Ill add some pictures.
Im looking to add a few more seramas to my flock. I've been looking everywhere for some but haven't had any luck. I'd rather buy older chicks/young adults, but I'd be fine with even buying some hatching eggs. Im located in southeast Ohio. 43793.

Hello everyone! I have week old Serama chicks that hatched from one of my incubators. I know it’s pretty hard to tell, but was wondering your thoughts on possible genders? I heard sometimes one of the genders has their tail feathers come in sooner? Also curious as to the yellow-dotted (brown)...
Hi there!
I am Hailey from western Illinois! My fiancé and I have just received our 3 serama chicks, and are IN LOVE! We are also first time serama chicken raisers!
We had a handicapped chick a few months ago, she was born with her leg joints backwards, after vet visits, various wheelchair...
Hi! I have two chicks that we hatched about 4.5 weeks ago and we've been trying to figure out whether they're pullets or cockerels. I'm attaching some pics for your perusal. Any help/opinions would be sincerely appreciated.
eta: The last pic is of a their nearly 1 week old little...
I always thought it would be fun to do an egg swap. No sales just even trades and just for fun!
What do you have that you'd like to trade for?
This is what I have: Seramas purebreed one dozen
What I like: Chocolate Orpingtons, cochins, d'uccles, hertitage barred rocks, and OEGB to name a few...
Received 8 chicks today in the mail. Ordered Silkies but the black one appears to be a Serama. It takes a big bite of its wing, holds onto it, and won’t let go. Than it pulls its wing violently; so hard that it trips and falls! It screams in agony while it does this😕. Is there anything I can do...
I bought a second hand large snap lock chicken coop to house my 5 oversexed 6 month old serama cockerels a couple months ago. All the corners and joints have gaps. Freezing temperatures are just about here and I am wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and how they solved it. I am...
kiki went broody first so I put some eggs (about 6) under her . Sister Dumpling went in every day and laid her egg there which I collected since the others were marked. About a week in, Dumpling went in and never came out. They have been in there ever since taking turns leaving to eat. Candling...
