What is the difference between doxycycline tylosin and regular tylosin? Like what situation would call for doxycycline tylosin instead of the tylosin alone?
My chickens were given Valbazen (Dose #1) on July 21.
Dose #2 will be 10 days later on August 1.
Can I go ahead and start them on their Tylosin now? Or do I have to wait until the deworming is done?
I can’t find much information about the two meds and if they can be given at the same time.
Hi everyone,
Im hoping you can help me with your expertise. I recently purchased 4 chicks (2 day old BCM and 2 salmon faverolle, one day old and one week old) from a very reputable local breeder. I brought the chicks home, added them to the brooder with some other chicks that I had received...
My 4yr old Barred Rock hen is in the middle of a rough molt. I upgraded her food w/o transition & shortly after, she developed signs of illness and severe diarrhea. By day 6, I finally got fecal results back from a vet that showed she had no parasitic infection. Wouldn’t offer any more help...
Will Liquamycin, Duramycin or ventrimisole work instead of Tylosin? If so how much is the dosage. My hen has bubbles in her eyes and I am not sure Tylosin is accessible for me at my tractor supply
Apologies for pic quality but you can kinda see in the corner there the bubbles
Need advice!
My chicken has been through the ringer this past month! First a comb injury, then bullying, then sour crop. She finally got all better and was put back with the others where she seems happy and no longer being bullied, about a week ago.
Now today, out of nowhere she was sneezing...
Hey folks, want some opinions here. On Monday I took my pullet to the vet for what appeared to be a URI (clear stringy nasal discharge, copious amounts of sneezing, symptoms for 3-4 weeks at this point). The doctor prescribed SMZs which I have been giving for almost 72 hours now, with pretty...
So awhile ago I bought some of this Tyclosin 500 powder off a Ukraine website that said it was basically just powder Tylan 50%. It has dosages on it, but I am kind of dumb when it comes to directions sometimes and I'm not very good at math. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the...
Hey everyone,
After a long hiatus due to school, I got back into chickens last week. I acquired two 4-5 month old pullets from a guy with a bunch of chickens, who looked healthy and has sold many chickens to other people. Anyways, I didn't see pullet #1 up close and personal before she was...
On the label it continues saying -
50 ml sterile liquid for injections
Content of active ingredient in 1 ml: 50mg (5%) of Tylosin
but the contents are in powder form. How is this powder used by injection?
What would the powder to sterile water ratio be?
Really hoping someone can advise me...
