    What are these? Roo or hen and what breed?

    I got these two and were told they were Orpington’s. But I am not sure. They are both crowing now too. I thought the one with the standing comb was a rooster because it’s been crowing for weeks. The other one just started crowing the last couple days. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

    Updated pics of my silkie chicken. 11 weeks old now. I don’t see any sign of streamer feathers yet. Any guess of what he or she could be based on crown? Or any other indication I might be missing? Thank you!

    Silkie EE cross

    I have 3 silkie EE crosses that are about 9 weeks old. I know for certain one is a roo but the other 2 I am unsure. Any insight?

    What are these random 4H hatching egg chicks?

    My sister is a K/1 teacher, and every year she does a life science unit that includes hatching chicks. She rents an incubator, and buys eggs brought into the county extension office by 4H members. The eggs are never labeled, so it is always a guessing game to try to figure out what she hatched...
