So. Big daddy here, 2 yrs old. Bought at a flea market n was told Rhode Island Red he was in the 1st clutch of chicks I ever purchased to start my crazy chicken journey. Chicken math now equals 9 hens, 1 rooster, and just hatched 14 of my own chicks under 2 broody hens. And they all are big Daddy's babies and about half of the 14 chicks also have side feathers growing on their feet
ANYWHO
Big Daddy here is killing me with these feathers on the feet. Not surrounding the whole foot/ leg but just on the side as pictured.
Best I can research is a mixed breed of some sort
Give me you best guesses??

He has a modified pea comb, meaning it's a mix of pea comb and single comb. I think he probably has Brahma or Easter egger in him, in addition to some red breed like Rhode Island red.

No way to know exactly, though, since you probably don't know the make up of the flock he came from.
