Well we had a Brahma lay an egg and our second biggest girl is checking them out. Just need to figure out how to get them to the second levels lol

If they don't, you might try moving the perch a bit further away from the front of nests.

From top to bottom or bottom to top? Or just one? (I'm at work and my brain isn't quite working lol) The bottom on is just sitting on the bricks lol.

I don't have a pic but we have a makeshift ladder roost thing (three bars, angled) we had in run and I put it next to it on one side and did see a couple girls hopping from rung to rung to check out the top.

Gotcha. Yeah we'll play with them. We used lumber we had on hand. The 2x3 seem okay for our Brahmas but may need to upgrade, which is fine. Gotta fix it, watch them use it and fix issues : )

Currently we have a few laying eggs in second area. Will have to wait to adjust rungs this weekend as I work second shift when they aren't in/need the boxes.

The little ones keep stealing the hay lol

Haven't had time to extend the rung, but they seem to enjoy it and better yet, aren't fighting over boxes!

We were debating on adding another ladder to the other side as well. We get two boxes used on very top section, and hopefully the new pullets when they start will use them too (they are eggers and will be a bit lighter to get up easily)

Have had Brahmas on the second set.

All seems to be going well! Yay! We did get fake wooden eggs and I think that helped a lot too
