We had just gotten a new pair of silkie chickens and we've had them for around 5 days already. I noticed that one of them wasn't moving at all to go drink or eat, they wouldn't fight when I would pick them up and they were making weak sounds. Our other chickens we noticed wouldn't touch our new chickens which was strange as their is always a little fight between them. Im really scared she's dying as she's not moving her head is always down and our other new chicken is starting to show the same symptoms too. We have removed them from the rest of the flock in fear they have some sort of disease. what should I do?

How old is the weak one? Were they from a breeder or farm, or were they exposed to other birds at a sale? What are her poops like? I would start offering her some Poultry NutriDrench or electrolyte/vitamin water and mushy wet feed plus some scrambled bits of egg. Does she have any watery or swollen eye or bubbles in one eye? Consider treating her with Corid if she is having runny poops. If they are old enough to lay eggs it might be a reproductive infection. New chickens should be kept in quarantine for at least 30 days, and it would be good to check them for lice or mites on their skin, and consider worming if they are a few months old.

The weak one is around 19 weeks old and the other one is the same, we got them from a breeder that had multiple chickens in the same area so yes, she was exposed to other chickens. Both of our new ones have runny poo's so we will try treating them with Corid. They are both too young and still are not laying eggs, and have no eye problems. They are both separated from the others and we are checking for lice and mites. If they completely refuse to drink or eat should I use a syringe? How do I tempt her enough to eat the food I give?
