I have a Silkie that is 2 years old and has been broody for the first time. She had been sitting on one egg, which she had crushed so we took it away. What do we do? Should we move her in a separate coop? Should we give her a fake egg for now? What can we do to prevent her from crushing the eggs, and will she lose her broodiness if we had taken away her only egg which was crushed?

She won't lose her broodiness taking away the egg. Just giving her one won't spread the weight, that's why it was crushed. I'd say give her a maximum of 5-6 eggs. You might be able to seperate her, but more likely she will stick to the nest she's on.
