21+ days

Lolol. Yes. We have a rooster. These are eggs from a staggered hatch that we place in an incubator after the hen abandoned when the first chicks hatched. They were out from mom and into the incubator within hours. Candled and alive ten days ago. Another egg pipped then never zipped and died. 😢

How long do you hold out after day 21 for a successful hatch? How do you know to give up?
This is a staggered hatch. The 21 days on the first eggs mean nothing. Do you know when the last one started incubation? I'd probably go about 23 days after that.

If you trust your candling skills that's not a bad way to gain information so you can maybe make a decision. There is not enough information in this for me to give any better suggestions except for one. If you can, in the future avoid a staggered hatch. They can be stressful.

If chicken eggs have been incubated for 25 days they are not going to hatch. You can candle them if you wish, it won't hurt anything, but it is time to move on.
