Good afternoon everyone.
I went out to feed my chickens this morning and noticed one of them making a strange noise. For reference, they are approximately 3 months old and I’m still new to keeping/raising chickens.
This wasn’t a normal “cluck” or “cheep,” it sounds more like a moaning/snoring, or a low singing maybe (I say singing because this specific chicken used to sing before she started clucking.) It seems nearly constant, but she did stop a few times. I’ve never heard this before.
She was acting normal from about 9am-3:00pm.
I’ve just discovered (3:55pm) that she is acting maybe slightly lethargic.
She looks normal though.
There have been no changes to feed, feeding/watering schedule, environment, etc.
Any ideas what this could be?
