Very nice. I was so glad to see your post about your buff gosling. I hatched a buff sebastopol from my blue sebastopol pair last year and have been trying to figure out how that happened. I was sure I had one of their eggs and that they were separated for several weeks from the other geese and I hatched a buff gosling. The buff gosling grew into a lovely Sebastopol goose. I didn't know that they could throw buff offspring because I thought they would have just blue and lavender goslings. Thank you for saving my sanity.

Oops, should have clarified that. The buff gosling was not from my blues. I bought some buff eggs from Shadyglade last year and hatched this little one with my blues. I have only got blues and lavenders from my blues. I was told not to mix the buffs with the blues, it will ruin the colors.

Edited to add, this is in the americans, not sure if that holds true for all breeds.

Ah, tempting! However, I am out of room for new breeds or varieties at the moment. I am trying to make room now as it is!
