I have three 4 week old black sex links. I’ve always kept my chicks in the brooder until they’re about 7 weeks then I move them to a run next to the coop for a few more weeks before fully integrating and allowing free range.
However, these little ones seem to be maturing faster as well as being much more active than my previous chicks. (Currently I have Barred Rock, Speckled Sussex and Easter Eggers). Any experience with BSL maturing faster and any issue with moving them out at 4 weeks?
