4 week old outside time

Most chicks are feathered out at 4 weeks old and can take temperatures much colder than that. But they are not all identical and may need another week to handle temperatures near freezing. There is nothing wrong with being cautious. I've had some handle 25 Fahrenheit (yes, below freezing) at just over 5 weeks old. I don't know the coldest yours can handle at 4 weeks of age. I'd be OK with mine in the low 50's as long as they are out of a direct wind.

But your question may be about the heat. At 4 weeks, mine do fine in temperatures in the mid 90's Fahrenheit. With shade they can handle even warmer temperatures but offer shade and plenty of water.
