6 week old Speckled Sussex

I purchased these 2 Speckled Sussexes from my pet chicken and they are now 6 weeks old. They were supposed to be both females, but I think I got a male and a female. I have never raised Sussexes before so I am not 100% sure, what do y'all think?

One male and one female, however they may both be males due to the comb development.

If you can, post here again in 2-3 weeks. That should be enough time to see if they truly are 1 male, and 1 female.
These young-ins can be tricky sometimes.

That's what I thought too, it's frustrating when you pay for pullets and get males...I should've just ordered straight run. They must have a newbie doing their genders.

It happens.
They can't be accurate 100% of the time, you just have the better odds of getting a pullet.

For a comparison, my SS is 12 weeks. I'm sure she's a she. So yikes for a 6 week old to have same amount of comb, I'm guessing you do have 1 cockerel and hopefully not 2.
