Soooo..... Today I figured out that one of my Salmon Favorelle chicks is a roo. I don't usually keep roos due to the aggressiveness. They lady I purchased him from said she will take him back and refund me; but, she doesn't keep roos either and she will fatten him up and cull and feed to her dogs. I get it but I have gotten attached to him.

I am just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with Salmon Favorelle Roos temperament. I know the hens are some of the calmest I have ever had. Please help!

Depends on the line and individual bird. Faverolle roos are supposed to be pretty docile in general. Whether your particular roo will end up being nice, there's no telling. Leaving that aside, what are your goals for having chickens? Do you need a roo? Are you allowed to have roos? Are you prepared to cull a problematic roo if it comes to that? Do you want a roo? How much experience with chickens do you have? Are there any young children in your household or that frequently visit? Those are questions I would consider when deciding whether to keep him or not

Thanks for the reply. They are more like pets that I get eggs from. I do sell by eggs as well. I have 2 children 6 and 4 and they love the chickens. I would rehome the Roo before I culled, I know I can't personally do it. I have always loved my Salmon Favorelles and a roos of that breed would be nice. I don't free range so I don't have predator problems often.

I would not keep the roo in that case, very young children can take an attack from an aggressive roo to the face and can possibly lose an eye. Having a roo also does change how you interact with the flock. I think just having hens for now would be the way to go

My possible Salmon Favorelles Roo is now 10 weeks old and is looking g more pullet!!! What do y’all think?

Any darling can become a nightmare, and roosters have ruined the whole chicken experience for a lot of kids. Once the rooster belongs to someone else, not your responsibility, but you could consider giving him to someone else.
