8-9 week old mottled Americaunas, pullets or roos?

Any good guesses on these two chooks? They're both between 8&9 weeks. Fingers crossed for pullets and not broken hearted kiddos

Both of the combs have some color, but they are small. So kind of mixed signals. I'll say pullets for now but keep an eye on those combs. I think the paler one is more likely than the other to be a male, based on comb width, but it's just a guessing game at this point. At 12 or 13 weeks male specific feathering should come in pn males and tell the tale.
