My green egger was a pretty consistent one a day , every light day as it got
Colder but it’s going on 4 days now that she hasn’t laid. Pooping fine, Eating, seems normal but I’ve read pullers continue to lay through winter?

She got pecked pretty bad on the day no one laid because they were all fighting over the same nest box. Is it something to worry about or normal? Egg production is pretty down and that’s fine but I can’t tell what’s normal and what’s a potential problem…

Thank you.

So it does happen. Ok. She’s just the only one who hasn’t laid at all in a few days. Seems totally normal behavior wise but we just had our dog pass and problems are just on my mind. Very exhausting.

I feel like she's acting a bit strange now.

This girl is low on the pecking order. Maybe bottom. But she's usually ravenous about scrambled egg. She had some but unlike the others who swallowed it with gusto she picked up apiece and took little bites, and eventually it was stolen by someone else.

She was excited about the BSFL ... but hardly had any mash for dinner (to be fair, hardly anyone did. Might just be too cold at this point) ... SHe was sold to me as an easter egger (from Agway) but I assume she's a "starlight green egger" .. her sister passed away earlier this year from HFL ... but she was laying extra early and we all thought she was a roo.. had a huge comb, red, and wattles, very early on, so there might have been something up genetically.

she seems skittish of me when she usually jumps up on my arm. It's been six days since she laid and I was going to wait it out but now i'm kinda worried. She was pecked horribly the last time she laid because I guess she was taking up the nest box everyone wanted.

She is still pooping, scratching, etc. I'm not sure if she's just cold or what.. if so, what do I do? She's already the lowest on the totem pole... but it’s going to get into the single digits over the next couple of night and she often sleeps on the roost across from the others by herself She was one of my friendliest babies, flying up to my shoulder whenever I entered the run.

I shared your worried and your love for your girl. Sorry I don't know what to advise you.
I am having a hen is like that she was laying every day and suddenly stopped. We are in summer here and they are out around 4:30am and in before 7pm, plenty of sunlight.
She is at the bottom also, I have to take her away to feed her extra food, but I must let her find her place in the flock and occasionally I caged a girl that beat her up the most which help a bit.
She has not lay any egg for 3 months now, but other than that she is eating, drinking, pooping normal and still an escape artist. I am monitoring her and I let her be. Hopefully whatever it is will sort itseft out.

I hope your girl is ok.
