8 year old mallard duck, won't eat?

Hello everyone I am hoping someone has some information on how to feed a sick duck. Archie is a little over 8 years old and recently has gone in the duck house during the day to stay under the heat light. He is very skinny and not eating. We have him in the house where we could make sure it is warm and we can monitor him better. My question is how can I force feed him? We use pay back egg layer feed now and so do the other ducks. He is just laying there in the heat but not really eating enough. It has been three days now and only about a quarter cup total of poop. He is also not really drinking like he should either.

I'm sorry to hear that.
At 8, I'd imagine that's pretty old fir a duck, it could be age.
Has he been eating layer his whole life?
