buff orphington and lavender Ameraucana 9.5 weeks. Hope I got some good pictures. Just anxious because I only got 6 chicks and I don’t need any more roosters… thanks in advance.

(My first for both breeds, my first straight run gamble..only have once of each so I have nothing to compare to. B.o. is so huge and the ameraucana is very petite in comparison.)

That last picture is adorable!

The lavender looks like a pullet but the Orpington is a cockerel.
Thank you for quick reply! I was pretty sure this was the case but I needed confirmation. Now I can hyper-focus on something else with my days, lol!

Also thanks; I love a good forced lap time turned into legit nap cuddles. She was bit in the neck by a racooon and survived so I check her healing quite often..

Poor thing! Sounds like you're taking good care of her! I know you said you don't need any more roosters but you should be able to find a home for him since he's so handsome and Orpingtons are supposed to be a more gentle breed.
