A dirty duck butt?

Hi, I have a couple of Appleyards, and the male, who's about 2 months old has a dirty looking vent. It almost looks a little swollen. He's passing stool, but it's sort of a muddy color. I also noticed that his voice is a little quieter and he's pulling out some feathers when he grooms. I'm new to ducks and not sure if any of those things are related, but appreciate any advice!

Yes, they have a kiddie pool that I clean each day.

I also was observing them both. He's passing very watery stool with little bits and hers appears mostly normal. It's been raining a lot here and they're foraging in our very wet lawn.

That poo was from earlier this afternoon and its since become quite watery. I'll try to get some better photos in the morning. I gave him a teeny bit of olive oil in some water and no food in their coop tonight.
