My chicks are on day 20 and most of my eggs have pipped. However, the humidity is on 46%. Can I add water to the incubator? I dont have to open the lid to add in any water I can just add it from the side. But i also dont want them to drown from the influx of water. Any help would be appreciated

I would just mist in the incubator with some warm water. Opening the lid to add water quick shouldn't shrink wrap them. Good luck with your hatch!

You can add a little bit of water and it's not going to drown them if your hygrometer is accurate and it's only 46%, I usually increase mine to about 65% at hatch but you can get away with lower as long as you don't see the membrane drying out or turning brown through the pip hole. I wouldn't open the incubator while you have external pips if you can avoid it.
Once a chick hatches you will see the humidity spike from the moisture inside the shell and as the chick dries off as well, this is normal.
