Oof, that’s rough--sorry the wind took its toll! If cash is tight, there are definitely some budget-friendly options. Check out repurposed materials—pallet wood, old chain-link fencing, or even free materials from Craigslist/Marketplace. Hardware cloth is best for predators, but if that's too pricey, strong welded wire fencing with extra reinforcement can work. Also, T-posts and deer netting can be a super cheap way to create a temporary run.
Angling the run or using a windbreak (like a fence, tarp, or even stacked hay bales) could help reduce the impact next time. But yeah… if the wind really wants to mess with you, it probably will.
Might also be worth angling it against the prevailing wind, but let’s be real… Mother Nature plays dirty. Still, a windbreak could help!
