My chicks are officially two weeks old. They have two perches in their brooder which they love, however I still notice them picking on each other (pulling feathers, darting for eyes) from time to time. What are some other options I can offer them at this age?

I’d maybe give them more space if possible, how big is your brooder?
I’d also toss some treats in there every now and then like fruit and weeds
If you hang treats up so they can pull and peck at them, mine liked that

Currently they are in an XL dog crate. We have a "real" brooder arriving today that is a) much bigger and b) will hopefully help with the fact that my t-rex arms struggle to reach the back of the dog crate. I've lost count of the amount of times I've banged or scrapped my head on the little lip at the entrance crawling in and out to reach a chick to check their butt. 😵‍💫

I have 24 day old and 11 day old chicks. They have had a dust bath since day 1. I swear there is dirt all over my living room from their playing. I see them chasing each other and chest bumping all the time.

The dust bath keeps them from torturing each other.

I don't have an actual roost for them yet but they love hanging out on the edges of the dust bucket and their hut.

I just gave them a dust bath. So far they are eating the dust and bathing in the crumbs they kick out of their feeder. 🤪
