My chickens are 17 weeks old. I ended up with 10 hens and 2 roosters. My EE rooster likes to challenge me but now my Wyandotte roo was chasing one of my hens and backed her in the corner and ripped her comb and now she’s bleeding. He was chasing her for a good 5 mins without giving up. I need a roo but do I need to look for a new one or decide who to get rid of?

I would cull both of the current roosters and raise an all hen flock until next spring. If you definitely need/want a rooster, then add a one into the flock once it is established. Your hens will be older and experienced enough to keep a young Cockerel in line at that point. I've found that if I let my older hens set the boundaries with the younger cockerels, I end up with MUCH better roosters for it. Best wishes!

Just cause you got these two, is no reason to have to keep them. Roosters are easy to come by. Wait till everyone is laying, then look around locally for a rooster that was so nice, he did not get culled.

However, you really can't or shouldn't hatch pullet eggs, I think they are too small. And at best it will be a month before they lay...maybe 2-3 months before they get full size, so until then, you really don't need a rooster.
