Hi all,

Am looking for some advice. We have recently introduced our now 2 month old Campbell duck to our 6 year old Muscovy (both females), and the Campbell has been what seems aggressive to our Muscovy (biting her face, feet, and feathers etc.)

This is only recent behaviour, before then we have kept them seperate, allowing interaction between the fence and only while supervised without the fence. As we were concerned with the older duck attacking .

The Muscovy has been quite submissive and allowing this behaviour, but I am concerned that the will continue getting worse and her getting injured.

Should I be concerned? Is this something that she will grow out of? Any advice would be great.

I had to watch mine the first week out together
Continue to do supervised and don’t jump in unless it’s getting to much. Sometimes they are establishing pecking order or dominance
When I could trust mine in the day alone I still had to separate at night for another few weeks ( could have been a month )
Now I have 16 ducks and my crew didn’t really notice when I added the last two there was minor things the day they arrived and everyone was out together and into the house that night
I think my first two ducks gave up when I kept adding more lol
I should add giving treats helps as well as make sure there is 2 feed dishes and 2 waters. This way nobody is bullying another away from feed and water. Just till they accept each other.
