Aggressive Hen

Hi, folks. I had six chickens, and they all of a sudden started picking on one of the group pretty badly, so I swapped chickens with a neighbor. Now this girl is being super aggressive in her new flock, and my neighbor isn't sure what to do. She keeps her separated from the rest of the flock because of this aggression - she says it's rooster levels of picking on the other girls. Is there anything we can do?

It's not clear which chicken or chickens you swapped. Did you swap all your flocks with each other? Did you give the bullying victim to your neighbor and they gave you one of theirs in return?

Any addition or subtraction of chickens in a flock will cause aggressive behavior until they all settle into their new ranks. Chickens have a very defined social order whether we human see it or not. Usually they all get it settled pretty quickly, but sometimes it can drag on for a few days if there are a few stubborn chickens who refuse to settle for their newly assigned rank.

Hello! I realize now I didn't make much sense haha
I swapped the bullying victim and another hen who started to be picked on for two of my neighbors hens. I'm not sure exactly how many girls she has, but with the new additions I have six again.

You could try pin less peepers on her.
