Almost New chicken Mom!

You will do fine,

I got my 4 girls way back in September, and I learned as I went along. I was so nervous, then my sons signposted me here.

By the time my girls had grown enough to start laying (Late November)) I knew how to spot the signs and what to expect.

Now they are all laying daily, and I am happy with them and looking to develop a way to have some more.

I learned everything from the people here.

Good luck

Jena

thanks again jena!
and your right, i can always learn , and adjust to the different situations that always seem to come up , i will try and be patient and take one step at atime, I do have one question though someone mentioned that the house may be alittle small, can you put two houses in the same area? And will the chicken share both houses or will they have little clicks that stay together in individual houses?
thanks again stormy

Hmmm not sure about sharing but I can see no problem with 2 houses in the same area.

I only have 4 girls and they have one coup, but I am considering getting some more chickens this year so I may also build another coup, but allow them to socialise together and see how it works out.

But someone will give you a better answer than me. I am sure there are others here who have several coups. I guess they get used to their own groups, but I am not sure. they may swap around some.

Will be interested to see what comes up.

Jena.

Well Jena, I guess we will learn the answer to that one together! It was really nice chatting with you, I work overnights so i must hit the hay for now but i will more than likely be back before i have to go to work! (as always) to see what everyone has to say! Thanks you've been great, hope to chat later. Stormy
