Am I dealing with lice?

My chickens had been losing neck feathers and I saw what I assume are lice on my nesting boxes. I’ve been treating their boxes and coop with permethrin spray and dust for a month. My birds are getting their feathers back but I’m still having issues with completely getting rid of them and now they are in my garage unfortunately, even though none of my birds go near there but I assume I must have brought them in on their feed bucket.
What are my best options for getting rid of them in my garage and how long can bird lice live without a host?
I’ve took some pictures of them below, are they lice?

Get a bug bomb for bed bugs.

Walmart sells them. Just bomb the ever loving crap out of your garage. Your garage doesn't go in your house right? I would also wash your clothes immediately when you mess with your garage or at least keep your clothes outside till you can wash them..

Do you happen to know how long the lice live without a host? Just curious how they seem to be thriving in there with no birds around.

Definitely lice. I googled that pic. But you did good doing the dusting. I'm just sorry they're in your garage.

Ima check..mites can go months without a host. Will check on lice.

Ok, life cycle is only 2 to 3 weeks. And they feed on chicken skin and feathers. They don't feed on humans. Though they might bite out of curiosity. The adults can lay eggs every day of the fertile stage before they die and that's why they spread.

Okay thanks, for treating the chickens and the coop, I should use permethrin spray/dust every week for a month? Just checking to make sure I did it correctly.

Now supposedly they will only live 24 hours without a host...but maybe there were enough eggs laid after feeding?
