Hello everyone!!
I have a couple guinea pigs myself, along with my little flock of chickens.
And for a few years I've been using bedding just from my local petstore nearby, but I use 100% natural animal bedding for my chickens. This product has very low dust and is easy to clean, so I thought it would also be a benefit to use these flakes for my pigs as well. And using this product would help lots saving money since commercial petstores have prices only going up.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you!

Hello! I use mats (fleece from Amazon) because one of my pigs has a breathing issue. I have seen people use shavings but I love mats!

Any thoughts or suggestions?
I used to use pine shavings for my previous guinea pig boy trio and never experienced any issues. Shavings is also what they use at LA guinea pig rescue, check out some of their youtube videos.. lots of fantastic care tips there.

I've since switched to using water proof reusable/washable (human) pee pads (medical type) for my current boys, while I learn to sew my own absorbant fleece pads.

I added short corner boxes that have shavings in them and also use kitty litter boxes from $ tree as hay bins lined with shavings in a couple of corners. Fleece cozys (for sleeping) are placed in several locations throughout their enclosure.. which is 15 feet square for 2 piggies. This allows for laundering once weekly. Which I suppose also depends on what your enclosure size is. Also noting that I use a small hand broom and dustpan to sweep poops up daily.

When the temperature is warm enough, my boys may sleep in the corner shavings or hay bins.. which is also where they end up doing the majority of their toiletting, very convenient.

I'll admit that shavings were a bit easier, but I also love using the fleece type bedding.

My prior trio, the three amigos.. Hancho, Pancho, Sancho.. enjoying fresh grass!

Oh my goodness, your pigs are so cute!
And okay, thank you for your guy's inputs.
I've heard of the fleece, but never knew a lot about them, but to be honest that's probably the most efficient choice since you can wash them.
Thank you!
