Another limping duck

I have a 9 month old khaki Campbell who started limping this morning. She doesn’t have any swelling, heat or anything else that is visibly wrong with her legs or feet (this is not our first rodeo, I have a jumbo Pekin who has suspected osteomyelitis) but I did notice after an epsom salt bath today that a couple of her toes curl in on the bad leg. What could this be? I don’t believe it could be a niacin deficiency as she’s very small and eats kalmbach duck & goose feed exclusively. Does this happen if there is an injury and maybe I’m missing it? She did swim on Monday and jumped out of the pool by herself (as she always does), maybe landed wrong?

I’m not sure why her toes are curling, but I’ve had ducks trip or fall over something and get a limp. I always pen them up in a small area for a few days (dog gates are perfect for this) with a bath and give extra niacin in the food. This has always cleared up the limp.

I do give them extra niacin even when feeding duck/goose food. It just seems that the feed never contains enough.

Hope this helps!
