Well apperently when 1 goes down, so does another... and another... I cant seem to get away from it.

I have a delaware that is lame on 1 leg. She eats and drinks, but does seem skinny (prominent keel bone) She Looks fine.. comb isnt pale, feathers are healthy.

She has a poopy butt, but I think its mostly because shes spending a lot of time off her feet.

Took her temp today and its 106.3*F

She is 4 months old today.

thank you for any insight!

The temperature is within normal range of 104 to 107F, depending on whether the chicken has had nourishment today. Lameness can be from an injury (bumblefoot, a broken bone, or a sprain,) diseases such as mycoplasma synoviae (MS,) viral arthritis or tenosynovitis, a bacterial bone infection, or Mareks disease. How do the joints in her bad leg look--any swelling of the foot or hock? Have you had any deaths before that were unexplained or had chickens who were lame?

no swelling, but i think its tender, shes upset when we pick her up. nothing feels out of place

last death had no lameness.. crop/ gizzard issues in a speckled sussex but she was walking absolutly fine
