It’s a symptom of some diseasesNever heard of the if they're anxious, they're sick thing. Not quite sure where you heard that.
So, I'm pretty sure it's not true.
That’s what I meantIt’s a symptom of some diseases
I've never heard anxiety being a symptom of disease in poultry. Anxiety is a symptom of stress. It’s a symptom of some diseases
She’s eating and drinking and pooping. She’s not laying and she’s 1 year old. She isn’t picked on. She lighter than birds that are younger than her. It’s concerning about how she acts because the other chickens are the complete oppositeIt's kinda just the nature of birds to be skittish. Is she eating, drinking, pooping and (if of proper age) laying eggs normally? Is she getting picked on by the others?
Laying should start happening at around 5-6 months depending on the bird. Did she previously lay? She’s not laying and she’s 1 year old
Silkies are considered bantams which are much smaller than your average bird. My biggest girl is probably around 8-10 pounds while my full grown silkie is around 3.She lighter than birds that are younger than her.
Could you go into details about some of the things that she is doing? It’s concerning about how she acts because the other chickens are the complete opposite
