Are you still looking for chicks? If so, what type? I've got a mix of purebred bantams, including a small starter flock (3 pullets, 2 cockerels) of black and silver laced Sebrights. I'm in Maryland, but my brother lives in Shreveport, LA and travels back and forth quite a bit.

Sorry! I no longer have Sebrights. All of my bantams (except for a pet Silkie) are Nankins - my favorite breed, hands-down. If you post an "In Search Of" ad in the For Sale forums here on BYC, you'll probably come up with a breeder nearby. If not, most of the hatcheries carry them ... but I'd try here, first.

I have miniature Japanese chickens. I am in the city limits so they must go ASAP. 3 hens 2 with golden heads and necks, one with black legs and feet and black spots. otherwise they are white. one is setting on 12 or so eggs, been on them for about a week. small cage/ chicken house {about 3'x6'} with perch and 2 flowerpot/nesting boxes. they are friendly and love to free range in the yard, and are super quiet. sppppp cute! cant have them in city limits so need them to go today or as soon as possible. my name is Brit, 206 259 0687. I'll be home all day. unable to deliver as I only have a Harley. sorry, I cant figure out how to include pics but if you text me I can send you back pics, oh! they are less than a year old and this is their second hatching of babies, 2 to three eggs laid a day on average between them.

Hi Brit - before you go any further, take your number out of your post!! If anyone wants your number, they can private message you. That way, you control who has your number. Putting it here lets any person logging onto the website have it ... and scammers/hackers scan for numbers all the time. My Bestie learned this the hard way ... PROTECT YOURSELF!
For rehoming your hens, check with your local 4H and see if one of the kids are interested. And post your notice in the Louisiana thread. You're likely to have much better luck that way ... Good Luck!
