After set up and warm up it will not get below 60% humidity.
Opened the vent all the way to get it to drop below 68%.
Don’t want to ruin the eggs, haven’t put them in yet, but is recommending 50-55%.
Any suggestions?
Tried calling company but number on website is disconnected.

Ya did you add water? In only one slot? The small one?
No water added? Any idea what the humidity level in the room is?
Don't fret to much yet. Humidity is more over the course of the set then any one day or at any given time.
There's room for fluctuations.

There is a water bottle mounted on the side, so , yes water is added. It says the bottle self regulates and should only be refilled every 6-7 days.
If I lift the cover the humidity drops but builds back to 58-60% shortly after.
We’ve never used an incubator, but the last 2 Broody hens sat for 3 weeks then abandoned the eggs without hatching any.
Would 60% humidity hurt the development of the chicks?

Mine was from before they added the bottle but if it was me I'd take off the bottle and see what the humidity is running it dry.
We have decent humidity here for a lot of the hatching season so I mostly run mine dry until lockdown.

Took the bottle off and drained the water , humidity was still high. Moved it out to the garage and it dropped down to 45 without water bottle. Had to box one side in due to cold wind making the temp drop.
Giving it a go.

Still having issues with humidity regulation. It drops down to 30 and we add water, then it climbs to over 55, and will slowly drop to 45+for a few hours.
Now the power went out, to the whole neighborhood, not expected to be back on for a few hours.
Candled the eggs on Sunday and it looks like all but 3 are developing. Not sure what the fluctuation of humidity is going to do to the chicks though.
10 days left, I think. I’m out of town working so my better half is trying to keep up on it.

I took the water bottle off mine because the humidity was too high when I first tested it. The room humidity is about 65% here not far from the bay, seemed to keep incubator in the low 40's range.

I just checked the manual and they warn that if the room temperature is "above 80f or below 72f" your hatch rate may decline.. The room I had mine in was a lot colder than that and I had towels warped around everything but the air hole to keep the temp stable. The temperature sensor on the machine was very reassuring but not that accurate. I got a couple of Yolink sensors that showed a lot more variation in both the overall temp and the center compared to the outside areas

We are on day 18, removed the egg turner and added extra water
To get humidity up as the manual recommended. Now humidity is 72.
Are we supposed to be hearing anything from the eggs?
Did not candle after day 12 or so.
Not sure if any of the eggs fully developed.
How long , if any hatch, are the chicks to stay in the incubator?
I’ve read up on using incubators, but everybody has different experiences and opinions. I read that no 2 clutches go the same for various reasons.

At least until they are dry and fuzzy. You want to keep the humidity up, 72% is good. If it were me I'd wait until it was getting a bit crowded and then move them to the brooder as quickly as I could so the temp and humidity don't drop too much.
