I found this recipe on a website and was just wondering if anyone had ever tried it. Just curious

Cheese Wiz
Ingredients
3 ounce can evaporated milk
1 Tablespoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pound Velveeta cheese
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions
Melt milk and cheese in double boiler. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Fill pint jars about 3/4 full and seal. Place in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.

yuck - that sounds really gross.

Sorry if it sounds gross. Was just trying to find a way to preserve a serious surplus of velveeta. Guess I will just give it away

This recipe is missing the part where you stick it in an aerosol can for fun & ease in dispensing.

Otherwise, why not just use the Velveeta as is? Why mess with its success?

I have way more than 2 people can eat before it goes way past its expiration date. I have something like 12 bricks of it. Just wanted a way for it to not go to waste. Think Im going to give it to the local food bank

That's a great plan, for so many reasons.

I totally wasn't trying to offend at all by saying 'gross' - I just remember those canisters from my youth and that made me sad for a bit.

Why try to replicate Cheez Wiz? Why? Why? Why?

Why?

It is gross!
I cannot imagine anything less worth the effort, except maybe turning a $30 honey ham into Spam!!!
