Anyone growing honeydew melons?

This is my first year growing honeydew and almost all of my melons are misshapen but they are nearly twice the size of my head. It's almost time to harvest the first one but Idk how to tell if it's ready yet. Does anyone know how to tell? I'm adding a picture of the one I'll be picking first, we had a weird hail storm a few weeks back and afterwards some yellowish brown spots developed that I thought was bruising but it continued to grow so I left it alone. Now the spots that appear bruised seem to be spreading out to a more even looking yellowish color so I'm wondering if it's not bruising at all but just how it's ripening? The other melons didn't get these spots but most of them hadn't started growing yet and the other one that's been there as long as this one is growing under the edge of a bush so it was shielded from any potential damage. Should I pick it now or does it need more time?

What's the days to maturity for the seed?
I'm not sure, I planted seeds out of a store bought honeydew. I did find online that it takes about 5 weeks for fruit to be ripe but I didn't find this until recently so im not sure how long the melon has been growing. I planted the seeds late March though.

The flower end looks good and so does the vine. What was the color of the rind.of the melon you bought? If it feels heavy for it's size, plus that sweet smell you mentioned, I think it's ready.

It was a cream color, not tan but not white either with a green tone so I don't think the one I bought was fully ripe yet. Yes it does feel very heavy, I thought it would be much lighter than it is.
