Anyone have any thoughts on what Dug this hole

Something has been coming and trying to dig into my chicken coop at night. I've had a live trap set out with peanut butter in it but whatever it is has shown no interest in the trap and continues to try to dig holes instead anyone have any thoughts on what it could be or would I should put in the trap to catch it??

Location? I would probably set a trail camera, you’ll be able to find out what it is and what time it usually shows up.

Regardless of what the animal is, I would focus energy on making sure your set-up is dig-proof by burying wire or adding an apron. Even if you trap and remove it, others are likely to come and take its place.

Coyote, Fox, Iguana, Racoon.... I'd set up a cam to see what's happening before being determined to catch something. Are chicken's safe in the coop while something is trying to dig into run? If so, is there food out? Make sure chickens and food are not out at night....

Thank you, chickens have been inside but there food has been out. I'll start putting that up. Appreciate the advice

Oh yeah, good call. It might not be something that want's to eat chickens, just feed, and that opens up a very long list. I put my chicken feeders in big ole cheap galvanized garbage cans at night. I did see a Racoon climbing my run on my trail cam one time, but after all that work, when they discover nothing to eat in there, gone, have never seen him again....
