Hey all, someone gave me a little giant still air incubator 9200. I currently use a different brand forced air model that can only hatch 20 quail eggs and less than 10 chicken eggs, so this would be awesome to hatch more. But I can’t find many reviews on it. Anyone have any ideas? Should I add a fan? Do anything else to it? Is it good or bad? It’s free, so if it’s awful I just won’t use it but if it’s good or could be good with modifications I would love to know.

I had one once til the temperatures started going crazy, but while it worked it was awesome.

You will need a separate thermometer and hygrometer because the built in one never read accurately.

If it’s the still air one, I would move your eggs to different spots in the incubator daily in case there are some hot and cold spots, they will all get a turn.

I liked it, just wasn’t a fan of cleaning styrofoam.

There are mixed reviews on it though. Some like it some don’t. I liked it while it lasted.

I have the 9300 -still air. When I turn the eggs, I remove the middle ones and place them on the outside of the group of eggs. So, they get rotated in incubator location. I’m on my second hatch, so far it been good.

Thanks everyone! They gave me an egg turner that goes with it, but I’m currently using for quail eggs so I’m not sure I can put them in the regular size turners.
