Apparently I'm a very appealing "rooster"

My Buff Orpington pullet (9mo old) was digging somewhere I'd rather her not dig, so I reached down to move her aside, and she FROZE- slightly put out wings- crouched low to the ground- and STUCK HER TAIL UP!
She squatted for me!
I stared at her for a few seconds, arm outstretched; she stared back and waited; I mentally shrugged to myself, and stroked her from top to tail; she stood back up, walked a few steps, ruffled her feathers and shook herself off.
I guess she wants little David(me)-babies, lol.
Anyone else find it hilarious when a pullet or hen squats for you? It makes me proud of myself; I must be a very good "rooster" for her to want my kids, lol.

All of my pullets do this for me and my ducks. Someone called it "bowing to the queen" that's what I'd rather refer to it as because it's funny when your walking and they all bow to you.
Oh man, that's fantastic, hahaha
Only my Buff Orpington does it for me right now, but that's okay lol ~ I just find it hilarious whenever she does it, and she caught me off guard this time with it

My roosters bow their heads to me. I love chickens, they're great.
The only male here right now is a tiiiny Japanese bantam, only 13 weeks old so he isn't yet acting overtly like a cockerel, other than when he attempts to spar with the other bantam chicks lol
Hopefully he'll do the same as yours and we'll have mutual respect, because the last cockerel that was once here was becoming a terror (big@$$ RIR).

Fully agreed, chickens make my day, every day.
I follow them around all the time just for entertainment.

I have black jersey giants. They're big boys, but they know their place. I had 2 olive egger cockerels before these ones and they were awful.

I want a bantam rooster, but not while I have these beasts.

These boys are 6 months old and I already bred them with my pullets. I have21 chicks from them in the brooder right now.

Jersey Giants, oof, those are some biiig boys!
I dunno if I could handle that much rooster, hahaha
The RIR we had was pretty big, but a JG? No contest.
I definitely wouldn't have a bantam rooster around big ones like that, it'd be like asking for it to get squashed.

I'm hoping that my little guy is more manageable with his small size than the RIR I had before. He's pretty hilarious to watch, zooming around the yard, no taller than my ankle.
He's pretty damn cute. I gotta take a photo sometime.

I've always wanted to let my girls have some chicks,
maybe when the bantams mature I can let Japanese boy make some muttbirds with the OEGB or Cochin frizzle bantams. I dunno if he could uh, "fit" together with the bigger, full sized ladies. Lol

They actually are really calm and mellow. They were supposed to be pullets but the hatchery made a mistake.

I definitely would love to see pics of your rooster when you get around to it.
