Ah sorry. Yes that would be helpful. I am located in. Western Colorado and I purchased them from Murdochs, who got them from Hoover Hatchery. It might help if you provide some background. What is your general location? Where did you get her?
Hoover's doesn't sell either. They sell AmerIcanas which is a fancy name for their line of Easter Eggers.Ah sorry. Yes that would be helpful. I am located in. Western Colorado and I purchased them from Murdochs, who got them from Hoover Hatchery.
Well that's sneaky of Hoovers. Hahahaha oh well. She is beautiful. I will love her no matter what she is. I was just curious. Thank you all!!!That does help because Aracaunas are pretty rare in the US (wouldn't find them in feed stores) and true bred Ameraucana aren't very easy to find either.
According to Hoover's website, they sell neither. What they do sell is Americanas. (Note the misspelling). This is just another term for Easter Eggers and (in my opinion) a sneaky way to sell EEs but make it sound like a pure bred but just add the "i" instead of the spelling of pure breed.
Now, that being said... I love Easter Eggers and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. They're usually mixed with Ameraucanas or Crested Cream Legbars to get the blue egg gene. I have 3 EEs and they're my favorite.
