Are my eggs fertile?

I have 6 hens to the one rooster.
I candled the eggs I had been incubating and saw no veins so I cracked them open and they showed no sign of development. By comparison the shipped eggs I put in with them are developing well.
The photos are of a fresh laid egg I cracked open to check for fertility after discovering no development in the incubating eggs...

I know you said your rooster might be too old but roosters can sure chicks until 7-8 years of age. Does he look that old?

You could just get rid of your current rooster and get a new one. Roosters are pretty easy to get

lol. I had so many boys last summer, I gave 8 of them to a local hatchery, and I still have one!

Yeah, I think this rooster will be chicken soup soon anyway, he started getting aggressive when my hen went broody and progressively has gotten worse.
I'll have some roosters in my shipped eggs, but that'll be a way aways till they can do the job.
Oh well.
