Are pomegranates OK for chickens to eat?

The inside of pomegranates have seeds surrounded by the fruit. I am not sure if the seeds are safe for them. Has anyone ever fed them to chickens?

I have several pomegranate trees and the chickens eat every fruit within jumping height (which is a lot). It's one of their favorite treats.

I have fed mine pomegranates before with no ill effects. They seem to like them.

Same here, I also chuck all of the overripe, split fruit in the coop and they absolutely love them.
