They're okay in that temp range? What type of container do you use?Outdoors.
They seem to be "ok" in this temperature range, under the porch. They're in fish tanks on a wire shelf, with some stuff around the feet of the shelf to prevent ants. The shelf has styrofoam insulation around the tanks to keep the temps a bit more stable. I checked on them a couple days ago and they were still fine. They're okay in that temp range? So they're in glass in a shaded area. Okay. I thought a glass aquarium outdoors might get too hot and bake them. Do you have any idea what the highest temp is under there? They seem to be "ok" in this temperature range, under the porch. The fish tanks have oatmeal inside them.
During the warmer seasons you will have issues with ants if there's any ants in your area.
No, they don't seem to get too hot, they got moved to a different spot outside this year right next to the house. I don't know how hot it gets in there though. So they're in glass in a shaded area. Yes. It is a must, at least for me.Is there a screen mesh top on the tanks?

We don't have a porch but the coop is 2 1/2' off the ground and in the shade. I could store an aquarium under it. I like the yogurt cup ant barrier: simple and effective.
