it got me thinking because i know chickens are very prove to cancer especially reproductively ans in their eggs. So i did some research and many feed additives for chickens cause cancer and theirs even arsenic in some feed. So my question is does anyone know of any good feeds for chicken that doesnt contain such harmful substances and additives. Maybe this is some big ploy to keep the chicken industry boomin lol.

Alot of popular chicken brands also have these warning. i just feel its not fair that their thought of as disposible short lived pets when they can litterally live to be 20. But because most are fed poison like this its really sad they die painful deaths.

fear mongering much?

have you looked up the CALIFORNIA Prop 65? That is what the warning comes from. Look at your human items, not even food items, and they contain this warning bc those items are sold in CA, so must carry the warning.

Are you aware drinking water can kill you? Even pure, perfect water... if you drink too much, you will die from simply too much water. So, if you want to be afraid of something, you’re welcome.

yeah because you blood cells swell anf this has nothing to do with flourode or anything like that. im just concerned on why items under " feed " even need a cancer warning amd if their is a healtier option.

You don’t sound familiar with the California P65. That warning is on non-food items too, and things you likely use every day. You should familiarize yourself with the topic rather than making assumptions, and you may learn more about the topic.

btw, all water does not have fluoride. Drinking too much water can be a problem with distilled or spring or reverse osmosis waters (as varied examples). Do you know why your blood cells would swell if you drank a lot of water?

I don't know why Prop 65 gets so much hate. It's all about consumer choice, and anything that creates a more informed consumer is of great value, imo.

From the site" "Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.

Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986."

You can view the complete list of chemicals and the associated risk here: https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/chemicals

Nothing says that we can't buy or use things with this warning, it's just letting us know that there's something in the product that is known to cause an issue so that we can decide if the pros outweigh the cons.

its sounds like a great bill and that its doing a lot of help but still that there are cancer causing agent in feed that people give to their pets and also eat themselves is worrisome. if you know of any feeds that healtier alternative and do not have any cancer causing agents i would live to know. Id also love to know more about this reverse osmosis and how its harmful

Not sure why you quoted me bc I'm not the one with hate for Prop 65. But, OP did not exert any effort into trying to find out info, so it was helpful of you to spend your time providing the information that OP could have found too.

It has been around for a looooong time.

Where did you hear that reverse osmosis is bad? It is a way of purifying water.
