Asil breeders

I am not a breeder, but have one Bullstag and 7/8 Aseel hen on a clutch of 8 eggs. Plus have one 15/16 Aseel pullet out of previously mentioned pair. May have more 15/16 Aseel in incubator.

Gowdy Jap; To best of my understanding the Gowdy Jap is a composite of a Shamo strain and American Game strain. Since the Gowdy Jap proportion is graded heavily back to the Rampuri Aseel side, it's impacts are modest. By time I am done the Rampuri Aseel will represent better than 99% of genome and likely involve only quality Aseel's to get me there.

Ok, yeah those should be some good ones. The Rampuris in the states generally trace back to Curt Hanson and his partner DR. Dave of Ohio . They put different Aseel lines in the rams and bred it in, they also added some Thai blood and a Singapore cock was added also.so you see There not what you would call pure this or that. I try not to use the word pure as it’s misleading. regardless they are well known and still in demand.

I am not certain mine represent the initial importation of Hanson or Dave. Those guys do dominate the talk on Aseel sources, likely to keep things simple and make assertions of quality easier to argue.

How long have you been into chickens and do you have other breeds of poultry. I’ve always had Aseel but have tried many other Asian Gamefowl over the years. Now all I keep are my Boricua Aseel that my friend brought Back from his trips to Puerto Rico. Would like to see pics of your Aseel

The Aseel bullstag I have was gifted to me about a year ago when he was about 12 weeks old. It is from breeder that has had them continuously from shortly after they were first imported into states back in the mid 1980's. With respect to Aseel's, I am a newbie. On the American Game side I grew up in it with my first birds designated back in the early 1970's. I was briefly out during college when my brother kept line up and he gave me some back to restart. Give me a bit on the pictures. I have been using a flip phone recently which produces poor quality images, very poor quality. And it is a hassle to upload.

The Boricua Aseel images I can find show birds that are much coarser and larger than what I have.

Hitting wall with flip phone camera. Will do better tomorrow.

I am having trouble keeping him in good weight. He can't handle his worm burden very well.
