Given unlimited resources and time, how many chickens/other poultry would you own? Infinite money and space but they money and space can be used only for chickens

We've had as many as 40 at once. I kind of feel like the ideal number for us is 12 or so, provided adequate space and sufficient shelter. The more birds you have, the more work they are, and you switch from being a person enjoying a flock, to a chicken farmer. That's not for me.
